“The Great British Adventure”
Eroica Britannia returns to The Peak District National Park for a fourth year with a new home (Friden Grange, Newhaven) amongst 100 acres of wild vistas, big skies and romantic woodlands. The 3 day festival and bike ride recreates the iconic Italian event; celebrating the original Italian ethos with a very British take on the values of territory, sustainability and the joys of local food and drink with a vintage twist.
‘The World’s Most Handsome Bike Ride’ sets off on a Great British Adventure, on tracks, trails, hills and dales early on Sunday 18th June on retro pre-1987 road bikes with matching heritage threads for a sensory plunge into rural exploration. The 3 riders include 25 miles for families and pub crawlers and the stiff upper lip inducing challenges of 55 and 100 miles of pure Great Britishness. All ‘off-roads’ lead back to Friden Grange via the former train lines of The High Peak railway, then it’s all back for gin and ice-cream at the Festival in the mid-summer sun.
